My family and I have had the honour of being cared for by Lew and Ethel for 10 years.  A very short time compared to most people who know them.  What I saw in those 10 years was true love.  True love for each other, true love for everyone around them, their family, their neighbours, their friends, anyone in need.  In these last few months we and our church community of Elora United have watched Ethel (and Steve) care for Lew unconditionally.  When Lew was able to be at worship, Ethel was by his side, often holding his hand, not just because he needed help walking, but because they truely loved each other.  It is this memory of holding hands that I, and others, will hold on to.
