Vera was, indeed, an exceptional lady. Always "upbeat", & blessed with a good sense of humour. Tributes from her family at her memorial service today were additional evidence of how well loved she was with family & friends. I always enjoyed visits with Vera, usually after church & once in Southhampton when our pipe band had a gig on the beach in the town. It is said that "If you love life, life will love you back."
