Condolence: Vera was, indeed, an exceptional lady. Always "upbeat", & blessed with a good sense of humour. Tributes from her family at her memorial service today were additional evidence of how well loved she was with family & friends. I always enjoyed visits with Vera, usually after church & once in Southhampton when our pipe band had a gig on the beach in the town. It is said that "If you love life, life will love you back."

Please accept my condolences; I am deeply saddened by Vera's passing.

I had the pleasure of considering myself one of Vera's friends. Vera and the girls from Guelph became the family I did not have in Canada.
Over the years we spent many times together exercising, sharing a few laughs in the sauna,celebrating birthdays, weddings and the passing of friends and family.

Vera was always thoughtful, kind and generous. Vera extended these traits not only to me, but to my children; Paloma and Jordi, whose birthdays she acknowledged year after year with lovely birthday cards.
In the early 80's Vera presented me with a children's book about the cycle of life called " I Love You Forever". This title somehow became our personal bond, and for many years Vera and I closed our greeting cards with the phrase " I love you forever"
It saddens me that I will not see this phrase again in her beautiful handwriting, but in my heart I will love her forever.
