Obituary for Trevor John Ashbee

Trevor passed away suddenly on September 15, 2012 in his garden at his home at the age of 66. Trevor was a gardener and animal lover who spent most of his time as a horticulturalist for the township or in his garden at home on his farm. Trevor was the beloved husband and best friend of Janet Ashbee (Hilborne) in their 40th year of marriage. Loving brother to Linda (Peter) Dalberg, and to Christopher (the late Barbara) Ashbee. Loving son in law to Raymond and Muriel Hilborne of Southampton England. Loving brother in law to Christine Bevan-Stewart, Roger (Cleone) Hilbourne, and Alistair Bevan-Stewart. Very special and cherished uncle to Clare, Laura and Jane Bevan-Stewart, James and Alice Dalberg, Peter and Lisa Ashbee, and Lauren and Victoria Hilborne. He will be dearly missed by friends Jack and Dennis. Predeceased by his parents John and Evelyn Ashbee, younger brother Kim and good friend Tony Martin. Trevor’s bold presence, infectious laugh and smile, optimism, and charming sense of humor will truly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. Friends will be received at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home & Chapel, 280 St. David St. South in Fergus, on Thursday, September 20th, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 7:00-9:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be conducted at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, corner of Smith and Henderson Street in Elora on Friday, September 21st, 2012 at 11:00am with a reception to follow at the Breadalbane Inn. Memorial donations to the Trevor Ashbee memorial Scholarship Fund would be greatly appreciated. Details at the funeral home. grahamgiddyfh@on.aibn.com 519 843 3100
