Growing up at the Beatty House

Many of my fondest growing up memories were at the Beatty house. When I was in Fergus it was my favorite place to go. I could just walk in and be treated like I was a member of the family. I was family, but it was more than that - it was like I was a "Beatty kid." Times at the Muskoka cottage were great fun - games of Hearts, great company, great food! There was one really memorable time, though. I was having trouble getting up on water skis, so someone got the bright :-) idea I should try sitting on the dock and getting pulled up that way. When I was snatched off the dock, I was moving in the direction of the grain of the wood - it was a very short and painful trip on the skis!! It is not fun for a 16 year old to have his Mom remove a bunch of (big!) slivers from his rear end! Tom, your Mom sure was lucky to have you to look out for her! You were a faithful son in every way, and it was plain for all to see. Well done!
