The First Big Smile

Over five years ago, I nervously started my first day at Tim Hortons, Elora. As I walked onto the floor to station 3, a bright, shining, huge smiling face greated me. It wasn't on a cup lid, as customary with Timmy's, but was coming from a wonderful lady who happily greated and welcomed me to the Tim Hortons family immediately and told me her name was Sherry. Sherry had the amazing natural ability to make everyone feel welcome, and special. She drew the smiley face on every lid, and wanted to make everyone's day special in her own way. She made me feel welcome and comfortable that first day, and made every single person who crossed her path, even if through a glass window feel special and gave them a genuine smile. Sherry often spoke lovingly of her family, and had a way of sharing that made you feel like you were a long lost relative, always welcome to her life. We often spoke of her cats she adoringly doted on, and since I'm a dog person, we laughed alot sharing our stories of " which is best, cats or dogs" lol. We'll miss you dearly Sherry, but you've forever touched many lives deeply. Rest peacefully hun.
