A Very Dear Man

I just saw this today by chance and although we had been out of touch for a few years, I was saddened to hear he's been gone for 4 years now.  I worked for Bob when he had Player's Bar in Burlington.  I was doing karaoke there and I have to say those years were the most enjoyable and memorable years I have had.  Bob was a wonderfully kind man and knew how to treat people.  I remember one night after work I had discovered I had locked my keys in my truck.  I didn't have CAA and we couldn't get the door open short of breaking a window.  Bob just tossed me the keys to his car and said take mine and we'll figure this out in the morning - just drop me off at home.  So we loaded my equipment into his car and I drove him home and we figured it out in the morning.  Later after he moved North, I came up to the Legion and ran karaoke for him a couple of times, but given the distance and the late drive home, I just couldn't do it for long.  I sure do miss him and I'm very sad he's gone.  He was one of a kind!  Rest In Peace Bob!
