Condolences

Condolence From: Lorna & John Comacchio
Condolence: Our condolences go out to Queenie's son Paul & her sister Gene. She often spoke of the two of you & we are sorry that we never had the chance to meet. We were saddened to hear of Queenie's passing. Unfortunately, we just heard about it on the evening of Nov. 30'th & are sorry we missed the visitation earlier that same day. We met Queenie shortly after she moved into Wellington Terrace. She was a delightful woman! My Mom & Dad, (Doreen & Gerry Kurtz) will miss seeing her; as will we. She was a Beautiful Lady who I was so very fortunate to spend some time with periodically. Shortly after she moved into W.T., I had the privilege of visiting with her in her room. Being a Registered Nurse myself, I immediately noticed & commented on her lovely Nursing Portrait! I was fascinated by her stories of Nursing. We had a wonderful chat about the profession & our experiences! She also showed me her many paintings & she was indeed a Wonderful Artist! That seemed to be her "real" passion! One time, I also brought her into Mom's room on Birchdale, to visit. Queenie, Dad, Mom & I had a lovely time! Mom can't talk anymore, but I know she enjoyed Queenie's visit. I have to say, Queenie was "The Most Beautiful Woman!" I could not believe that she was in her early 90's! None of us could! Queenie was SO Gentle, Pleasant & Kind! I will never forget my time with her....I only wish I had a photograph taken with her! She was STUNNING! The world was a better place with Queenie in it! I can't say enough about how BEAUTIFUL she was on the INSIDE & OUT! We'll miss you Dear Queenie & are So Happy to have known you!...even though it was for such a short time. Thank you so much for the wonderful memories & showing me what a True Lady is!!! Lorna & John Comacchio (P.S. Paul...If there is a chance you have a prayer card with your Mom’s photo or something to remember her by, I’d love a copy, if possible). Thank you so much & take good care.
