Johns Mum

I am sorry to hear about your mum and how quickly it all happened...one can only hope it was as quick for her....as you know....my history with your family goes back a long way... long before you and Marilyn hooked up together...

I wanted to share with you my first trip to your house...when I first installed cable tv...

When I knocked on the door, i was met by your mum...who asked me to take off my boots... and at that time, Bramalea was a sea of mud...I really had no choice...I had an old Bell Telephone instal truck that I was using and your mum asked if that truck was mine...I think she was a bit embarassed to have an old clunker in the driveway...anyway...subsequent trips out to your place, I parked up the street a bit...but back to my invite in....

I assessed where they wanted the tv and explained how it was all going to happen and that I would have to drill a hole through the carpet...down to the basement to run the cables, etc.... I dont think as a recall...that your particular house was prewired....anyway....your dad, just kept saying to me.... in his thick accent.... thats ok, lad.... do your job... so I did and turned on the wonderful world of 12 channel cable tv an your mum sat down in front of it....tured the knobs a few times...and said...that calls for a cup of tea.... and so we did....

I did a few service calls back and always, your mum said...."as I remember, you like tea" and out would trot the tea and biscuits...for me...it was a bit of an oasis...funny...I dont ever remember you being there..but I do remember Steve being there a lot.....

your mum and dad did have meaning to me...so I just wanted to share that story with you and once again to tell you how much I appreciated the help and support (though possibly not the bacon and eggs at 11 at night) that your mum and dad showed my when my mum died
