Condolences

Condolence From: Jerry Girodat
Condolence: I was grateful to have seen Des one last time and to see you again Kat (old neighbour), and to meet Troy and Bridget at your Dad's new home last Tuesday. I spoke to your Dad on the phone, a month and a half ago and he said if I was ever passing through Fergus, to stop in and see his new home. So I’m glad I did and when he sat up and smiled, I think he recognized me! He also said he wanted to make a trip down to Trenton and see all the guys he used to work with in the Military, before he got too weak from the cancer. Unfortunately that didn't happen, but at least he’s in a better place, now with Marlene, and finally at rest. I would like to offer my deepest sympathy to you and your extended family Kat, and may your Dad now Rest In Peace! Amen.

Condolence: I received both emails from you and Barry. I could not stop my tears when both of you told me Ken has passed away. I am really sorry to hear about Ken. I am so sorry for you loss. On Saturday I noticed your were offline and guessed you might be at Ken's house to take care of him, but did not think he had passed away. So it is really, really, really hard for me to accept he is already gone. I really miss him. I always miss the days when we played cards with him and your Mom. I feel said I cound not be there to see him and I feel sorry I could not give each of you a hug. May he rest in peace. He will be missed by us all. On Tuesday at his viewing please on my behalf, give each of your family members a hug especially his Children, Dorothy, Shirley and Bridget and say goodbye to Ken for me.
I will always remember his last words to me "See you in September".

Condolence: Hi Bridget and family,

It seems like yesterday almost 6 years ago to the day, when we were all reunited in Ottawa with Ken’s family and his mother in attendance wishing Ken a Happy Retirement at his Depart with Dignity Ceremony.

Hope the memories will be able to ease your pain in this difficult time. The following poem reminds us that love, hope and courage will ensure the candle will never die...

Our sincere condolences.

Candle of Hope

Speak to me your words of courage
That gives me strength to move
And sing to me, your song of passion
That made me love you
And please, show to me, that candle of hope
That always allowed me to see
The road ahead, that leads to you
A road that starts with me
This candle softly flickers
In a breeze that whispers fear
But your courage helped it stay aflame
As you kept your heart so near
This candle of hope, let me hear your voice
When I thought my heart did leave
As I followed, voice and light
That led me to believe
This candle of hope you have given me
Gives me the strength to try
As long as your voice will sing to me
This candle shall never die…

Condolence: So sorry to hear that your dad has passed, and your Mom, We were friends of both your mom and dad in Baden. Lost contact with them years ago.
We lived in Iffezheim quite close to them and I believe my daughter Tina was friends with one of you girls. Dez always had a great smile waiting to greet anyone he met and Marlene had such an infectious laugh. Glad they are now reunited. So sorry for you loss.
