I was so shocked and upset to hear of John’s passing. Sadly I didn’t find out until after the funeral. I wish I could have attended. I knew john for almost 20 years. We met when I first moved to Ontario from Quebec. John and I shared our love of Quebec and talked about so many things from politics to sports and the list goes on and on. He truly had the gift of gab. A 10 minute quick conversation turned into 3 hours. We emailed regularly for years and learned so much about each other. He surprised me once with a coffee mug with the logos of all my favourite sport teams on it. When John injured himself my daughter and I spent time with him and brought him some supplies. My condolences to his family. I will really miss John. Rest in peace dear friend.

Remembering happy times with John, including our visit to the Blue Jays game, the time he helped catch the Yellow Pages fraudsters, and how he smiled when he picked up his new Ford. Sorry we can't be there with you all for the gathering, but know we are thinking of you from here in England.

John was our neighbour over that last 6 years on Bonnybank Court. We are sad to hear of his sudden passing especially as he seemed to be recovering so well. John sometime talked about some of his disappointments in life but I will remember John for many other things:
- John was an outstanding neighbour. He was a gentle, caring, and observant protector of Bonnybank Court. He expressed interest in how our children were doing and treated others with respect and compassion.
- John was a faithful employee who appreciated his work at Tubefit and enjoyed the company of his fellow workers there.
- John was committed and loyal to his family. And while families can often be messy, in the end nothing mattered more to John than the approval and love of his sister, brothers, inlaws, and their children.
We will miss John’s kind, caring, and compassionate personality as well as the spirited conversations about politics, money, government, family and work. We wish comfort and peace for his family.

John was a co-worker at Cowper Inc. and although we only actually met once or twice in person, we chatted frequently on the phone, I had the impression of a gentle soul. My condolences to his family and friends and co-workers at Tubefit, I have no doubt he will be missed. Very sad news.
