Suddenly at the Groves Memorial Community Hospital in Fergus on February 5th 2005 in his 82nd year. John will be sadly missed by his wife of 59 years Florence Chapman (Heaton). John will be lovingly remembered by his children Nicholas and Anne Chapman of Bath, Kenneth and his wife Susan of Belmont, Karen Abbott and her husband Allan of Toronto and Kerry Robert Chapman of Toronto. John was a dear grandfather to Larissa, James, Tyler and Rachel. John courageously served his country during World War 2 with the Royal Canadian Navy as a gunner. Friends are invited to join the family for a Memorial Service to be held at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home on Wednesday February 9th 2005 at 1:00 pm. Private interment to be held.
