Condolence: I was very sorry to hear of Griff's passing.

As a friend and comrade we had many good talks on our war experiences. I was very happy that he was honoured by the French government with this prestigious award as he was very deserving of it.

My sincere condolences to your family.

Condolence: OH THE MEMORIES OF GRIFF!
You have all been such a huge part of my life and I so mourn the passing of Griff. I so wish I was there to be with you. We had such a great childhood on Gordon St: playing football (after supper every night)across the back with Griff coaching us on, breaking up a few fights and laughing all the while, sleepovers with Jenny and Griff having to walk me home crying in the middle of the night as I got homesick....Griff saying "not to worry you'll grow out of it", our Friday night adventures with Griff and Eppie to Zellers in Guelph was such a treat, trips to the cottage at Lions Head for summer vacation, and more recently The Jackson stop overs in Ottawa for a visit while on your driving vacation with Griff. These memories of Griff, I will cherish now and forever. We had the best Childhood thanks to Graff and Ep! I will never forget Griffs laugh... always so happy and contented.
I am comforted to know Griff will be joining Eppie ,whom he missed so much, and he did not suffer! Much love XXOOXX Brenda

Condolence: I was so shocked and saddened this morning to hear of Griff's passing. He was such a special resident at Highland manor. He always enjoyed giving me a hard time about his bed and telling me his war stories. He will always be in our hearts and Highland Manor just won't be the same without him. My thoughts are with the family.

Condolence: To all of Griff's Family.....I am so saddened and in shock to hear of Griff's passing. He was so special to me and made every day of working at Highland Manor such a treat. I always enjoyed our evening chats and joke telling and every evening I always had my coffee break sitting with him a few other's who were always sitting in their special spot....and there Griff would be sitting on his walker....always with a grin... I was so pleased last week when Linda sent me a message telling me about the honour that he was going to be receiving on the 26th...then last night she called me with this terrible news. I will never forget him...he was such a sweet man....and when I left Highland Manor in Nov of 2014, he said he would get to Newfoundland one day. I told him there would always be a room for him... Thinking of you all at this sad time...you all were so special to Griff.....he was a proud Father for sure....and I wish I were there right now....God Bless...and Rest easy Darling Man..... Roxanne
