One Special Neighbour!

For those of you who knew Ed, I'm certain that you know him as the most kind, warm hearted and caring person because that is how we know him. My family and I moved into the house next door to him. So unfortunateltly I've only known him for a few short years but feel very fortunate to have those years. From the day we moved in, he was always smiling and waving!

Eventually my dog, Oakley started going over there to visit him not just on occation, every day! I later find out that with every visit from Oakley, Ed would give him a dog treats! Ed was such a sucker for Oakley and gave him so much love and attention! It's amazing the bond that someone can create with an animal when you love them so much, and Ed did just that. Oakley is missing you already Ed. You two had such a bond that I truly think that Oakley knows your not really there anymore because he's stopped going to your house which makes us very sad. But I can't thank you enough for loving him as much as you did and know tha Oak loved you just as much as you loved him!

As Oakley got closer to Ed, so did my family and I. Often we would be outside chatting with Ed. Ed and his lovely partner Jean would sometimes come in to a Cafe with I work at, and I was lucky enough to be working when they came there for his birthday! Over the years I've gotten to meet his daughter, son and bother, which all seem to be a wonderful as Ed. We are so thankful to have met you and have you as a neighbour. We are definitely going to miss talking with you and your Christmas parties, And I am going to miss your smiling waves, and beers on your front porch! In a few short years, we made some beautiful and unforgetable memories. No other neighbour will ever compair to Ed.

For his family, our thoughts and prayers and with you all now. As in most familes, We live near and far from eachother, I hope it makes you feel happy knowing that he was loved by his neighbour family too!

RIP my friend,
Peace & Love,
The Mernagh Family & Oakley
