Jo-Ann was the life of our pottery class. In fact, she got all four of us who were taking the course to sign up for an extra six weeks! Jo-Ann was a natural with the clay and she invested in a wheel and kiln. My larger vehicle was needed to pick up the equipment and so Dave, Jo-Ann and I went to get the kiln out near Erin. When we got there...we were discussing about how to get this heavy piece into the van. Jo-Ann and I decided we would just try doing it. I'm surprised we got it off the ground with all the laughter! Dave was still thinking about the whole situation, but the job was finished! (Well, okay...maybe he helped out a bit.)
Jo-Ann will always be someone I feel very blessed to have known. Her determination, laughter and big heart was felt by each one in my family and we will never forget her. It might seem as if her life has left a big hole...I hope the special memories she gave us will help fill the void until we meet again.
