Big Sister's memories

We each have a time in our lives when we know that a shift happens, a bit of magic enters our lives.  A major shift for me was the birth of my brother Frank.  As an almost 4 year old and already the big sister to Susie I knew that life would be different.  Frank was named after our Grandfather.  There was always a Frank in our family, and his lungs definitely worked well!!  He was thoughtful at times and you knew to keep a bit of an eye on him.  As he got older mischief was his middle name.  When he got quiet you knew that something was afoot.  I remember that at the ripe old age of 3 he had learned the power of matches and would sneak in a closet every so often to test out his skills.  When you heard that closet door close it was time to spring into action and deal with a potentiall "enlightening" experience.  He alsways had a great sense of humor, especially as his two other brothers came along.  At imes he was my best helper and every so often when things got tough he and i would sit together just for a few minutes to deal with what was going on.  .Even at an early age he was serious about "women"  I remember when he was five he announced he had met his wife, found a ring in a gum ball machine and with great pomp and circumstance "married" the girl upstairs in our apartment building.  Little Brother you were a man of great honor, courage and caring.  i have thought of you so many times over the years with love and with the knowledge that you would do great things with you life.  Great things are the little bit of love youe sneak in every day.  Being an honorable man.  Caring from your heart.  Being the rolemodel and guide to finding just that little bit of best in yourself and others.  I know that you will continue to guide others even though you are no longer physically here.  You will do it by the way you lived your life and the love you have left in each of their hearts.  Bye from your Big Sister!.
