It is with great sadness that our family announces the unexpected passing of our Dad on January 29th, 2015 at the age of 79. Don will be sadly missed by his children Sherry (Larry), Wendy, Dawn (Bruce), and Rob (Christine). Proud Papa of Shandi, Derek, Kevin, Karen, Jessica (Jon), Jordan, Amber, Nicole, Erin, Blair, Austin and Robyn. Proud Grand Papa of Owen, Skylar, Jadeynn, Koal and Keith. Don is survived by his brother Ken (Brenda), sisters Nancy (Chris) and Bev. Predeceased by his mother Mary (McCready) and father William Taylor. Don was a dear friend to many and was an active member of the Fergus Royal Canadian Legion, and Canadian War Veterans Association. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge. Memorial service for family and friends to celebrate Don’s life will take place on Saturday, February 21st, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the Graham A Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David Street South, Fergus Ontario. Visitation will be held from 12-2 p.m. prior to the service and a reception will follow. As to Don’s wishes cremation has taken place. If desired, donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association, The Poppy Fund and The Lupus Association of Canada would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
