Passed away peacefully on Wednesday January 18, 2006 at the Groves Memorial Community Hospital in Fergus. Bill Hillis in his 84th year of Elora. Beloved husband of Noriene Hillis (Williams). Loving father of Pat (Grant) Darroch of Sarnia, Peg (Bruce) Wallace of Elmira, Jim (Maureen) Hillis of Orleans and Bill (Laura) Hillis of Drayton. Loving grandfather to 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews other family and friends. Pre-deceased by his parents Eliza and George Hillis brother Don and sister Gladys. Bill served with the 98th (Bruce Battery) 4th antitank Regiment RCA 1939-1945. The family will receive their friends at the GRAHAM A. GIDDY FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL, 37 Church St. East in Elora, from 1:00-3:00pm on Friday, January 20, 2006. After which a private family service officiated by Rev Kees Vandermey, will be held at the funeral home. Followed by cremation.
