William Stuart  Goulding
Passed away peacefully after a brief illness at Caressant Care Nursing Home, Fergus, on Monday Sept 9th, in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Audrey (Barber) for 61 years. Loving Father of Lloyd (predeceased 1980), David (Francine Leduc), Robert (Heather) - all of Fergus, Janet (James Arnott) of Ottawa and John (Tiffany Howard) of Vancouver, British Columbia. Proud grandfather of Justin (Katie), Joel, Tyler, Ashley, Samuel, Sara, Emma, Ciara and Teagan.
Also survived by brother Richard (Adele) of Oakville, Carol (Mel Roberts) of Brandon, Manitoba, Bother-in-Law Mac (Ruth) Saunders of Kitchener, Sister-in-Law Mary Goulding of Elora. Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by Parents, Lloyd and Amy (McConnell) Goulding, Brother Paul, In-Laws Albert and Eva Barber and Sister-in-Law Lucille Saunders. Bill and Audrey owned and operated the Goulding Funeral Home and Furniture Store in Arthur for 43 years. He was a life member of the Arthur United Church and served in a number of positions on the board. Also a long standing member of the Arthur Lions Club and the Fergus-Elora Probus Club. Bill served on Arthur Town Council, the Centre Wellington Planning Board, Arthur Chamber of Commerce and was a dedicated member of the Prince Arthur Masonic Lodge #334. He also enjoyed many years as a member of the Royal City Embassadors Barbershop Chorus. In their retirement years, Bill and Audrey enjoyed travelling. Bill greatly enjoyed the many community activities at his home at Pine Meadows, Belwood. Resting at the Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David Street South,Fergus, with visitation on Thursday Sept 12th from 2 - 4 pm and 7 - 9 pm. A Masonic service will be held on Thursday evening at 6:45 pm. The Funeral service will take place at the Arthur United Church 101 Tucker St, Arthur on Friday Sept. 13th at 2:00 pm.
