Morris, Vera Kate Sarah (nee Gumbrell) 94, peacefully passed away on the morning of Thursday, April 21, 2022 at Wellington Terrace in Fergus, Ontario. She is survived by her daughter Carolyn Haggert (Allan, predeceased), son Marlowe (Wendy) and grandson Kaelen. She was predeceased by her husband Kazimierz Jan Szprega (John Morris). Vera was born in Ramsgate, England and emigrated to Canada in 1955 with husband John and daughter Carolyn. Living in both Toronto and Brampton, Vera worked from the time she arrived in Canada. After retiring from BASF, she finally settled into her country home, near the community of Damascus, Ontario. She also enjoyed spending time in the summer at the family cottage on Oxtongue Lake.

Our heartfelt thanks go out to the staff of Wellington Terrace Long Term Care Home for their support these last years.

There will be no public service of remembrance as requested by Vera.

She was an avid painter, a lover of impressionist art and loved to surround herself in colour.

To honour her memory, the family wishes that a pink perennial be planted in your garden.
