(Born Wasylna Markevich on Dec. 17, 1929 in Thunder Bay) Peacefully at Groves Memorial Community Hospital, Fergus, on Friday January 16, 2004 in her 75th year. She was loved so much by her late husband, John Rolick, her son Larry and daughter in law Sandy, her daughter Lorraine and late son in law Bill Price and daughter Louise and son in law Stephen Cako. Val was Baba to Christopher and Allison Rolick, Mark and Richard Price and Peter, James (& Rochelle Murray Cako) and Thomas Cako. She was a great Baba to Tristan James Cako. She was the daughter of John and Doris Markevich, sister to Andrew, Michael, Daniel, Peter, Mary, Anna, and is survived by her sister Olga and brother in law Jack Christie all of Thunder Bay. Baba /Val possessed a unique personality, a love of life, learning, laughing and independent thought. To know her was to love her. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a gathering of family and friends will come together at a later date to celebrate her life. The family of Val Rolick wishes to thank Dr. Alan Simpson and the staff of Groves Hospital for their outstanding care and compassion.
