Peacefully passed away at the Guelph General Hospital, on Thursday February 16, 2006 after a sudden illness. Thom Thomson, in his 65th year was the loving dad and father-in-law of Chris Mueller (Stacie) of Bowmanville, Terri Sider (Don) of Guelph. Linda Koch (Jim) of Etobicoke, Sherri-Lynn Teri (Steve) of Elora and Jennifer Vettor (Paolo) of Fergus. Thom was the very proud Papa to Blain, Stephanie, Nathan, Siobhan, Heidi, Dane, Nicholas, Jason, Kelsey, Venessa, Charlene, Philip, Daniel, Gabriela, Anthony, Hannah and Olivia; as well as Great-Grandpa to Josephine and Isabelle. He was the beloved son of the late Tom and Norma Thomson and the dear brother to Alexander, Barb, Pam and Patricia as well as Uncle to many nieces and nephews.Thom was a kind man with a generous and giving spirit. He enjoyed time spent with family, great conversations and stimulating debates and with his witty sense of humour; he always had a quick and snappy comeback. He will be sadly missed.Resting at the Graham A Giddy Funeral Home at 280 St. David Street South in Fergus, where the family will receive friends and family on Sunday, February 19th from 2- 4and 7- 9 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 20th at 2:00pm at the same location with Pastor Fogleman officiating.As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
