Obituary for Thomas James "Tom" Bleskan

It is with sadness that we announce the death of Tom Bleskan. Tom passed peacefully in his sleep on Saturday June 26, 2021 at the age of 67. Sadly missed by his extended families in both Colorado and Ontario and his beloved dog, Maya.

Tom grew up in Denver, Colorado, where he made his living in construction. He built his own houses in the Aspen Valley. He met his wife and best friend, Karen Schnarr, and moved to Ontario in 2019. Tom and Karen created a wonderful life together, buying a home in Elora, Ontario, where Tom used his skills to design and renovate their home. Tom was an avid cyclist. He participated in many marathon cycling events, including Ride the Rockies, West Elk Bicycle Classic and the Copper Triangle. He particularly loved climbing mountains on his road bike. Recently, Tom filled his days in Elora, biking roads and trails, in all seasons.

The family will have a private ceremony to celebrate Tom’s life.

Memorial donations may be made to the Guelph Humane Society.
