Obituary for Sandra Jean Hoffman (Bryce)

Sandra Jean Hoffman (Bryce)
December 13, 1948 – January 19, 2023

With broken hearts we share Sandy passed away with her daughters at her side on January 19, 2023.
Everyone who knew Sandy knows she was a woman with the biggest heart. She would do anything for
her family and friends and in return built life-long friendships and an army of people that would do
anything for her. Sandy had an infectious laugh and a personality that instantly drew you in. She was
fiercely independent and had a hard time letting others care for her. There was no slowing her down
and even in her final days she argued with us to let her do things on her own, despite the fact she
couldn’t.
With her love of bright colours and bold patterns, she was hard to miss, nor would you want to. She
maintained her pop of colour in her hair (usually purple and pink) that was her trademark and made her
easy to spot in a crowd. If you didn’t see her, you just had to listen for the sound of laughter and she
would be at the heart of it. Sandy wasn’t shy about her love for Sam Elliott, beer or a good bargain! As
you would expect, her sense of humour carried her to the end and helped us all deal with this difficult
time.
Her spirit can be seen in the beauty of blooming flowers and heard in the songs of the birds. She
nurtured people, gardens and birds and that was what made her feel happy.
A celebration of Sandy’s life will be hosted on a date when it is safe traveling weather for everyone, as
Sandy would want.
Sandy was an incredible daughter, sibling, wife, mother, friend, crazy gramma and gigi. No one will ever
take her place and she left so much laughter and love behind in each of us she will live forever.
