Passed away at his home, with his loving wife at his side, on February 12th, 2011 at the age of 78. Russell will be greatly missed by his wife Geraldine (Rogers). Loved by his children Ida & Michael Bruni, Carol & Robert Walton, David & Angie Airdrie and Ross & Marcie Airdrie. Fondly remembered by his grandchildren Matthew Bruni, Lucas & Cindy Bruni, Nicholas & Melissa Airdrie, Chloe Airdrie and his great granddaughter Bianca Bruni. Survived by his siblings Marion Hoegner, Isabelle & Chuck Trowbridge, Albert & Mavis Airdrie, Stan & Louise Airdrie, Margaret & Chuck Merry, Donna & Bruce Green, sister-in-law Isobel Airdrie and brother-in-law Bob Hillson. Predeceased by his brother John, sister Judy Hillson and brother-in-law Stefan Hoegner. Friends will be received at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home & Chapel, 37 Church St. East in Elora, on February 14th from 7-9pm and February 15th from 1-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be conducted at Bethany United Church, 6092 4th Line East at Sideroad 10, on February 16th at 11:00am, interment at the Elora Cemetery.
