Obituary for Rupert "Rip" Rayner

RAYNER, Rupert “RIP” A man who touched the hearts of everyone he met. Rip loved life. Always armed with a joke, he revelled in poetry, painting, and wine making. A dedicated husband, father, grandfather and brother. He is survived by his loving wife Dolores. He was the proud father of Chris and his wife Janet, Lea, and Michael and his wife Joanne. A wonderful grandfather to Jason, Kevin, Richard, and his wife Jeanine. Great grandchildren Lauren and Mikayla. A dear brother to sisters Shirley and Carol. He is predeceased by his parents John and Alice, and brothers Art, Bert, and Paul. Rip was a veteran of WW11 with the 1st Canadian Parachute Training Branch.Family will receive friends at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home & Chapel, 280 St. David St. S, Fergus, on Wednesday, August 23thd, from 12-2pm. A service to commemorate Rip’s legacy will follow at 2pm. in the funeral home chapel. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Lung Association of Canada would be appreciated.
