Obituary for Ronald Fisher

It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Ronald William Fisher, in his 87th year, on Friday December 17, 2004. Loving and devoted husband for 58 years, of Aline Fisher (nee Garner) of Alma. Dear and loving father of Larry and his wife Lois of Elmira and Janice and her companion Frank MacKinnon of St. Jacobs. Ron was also a beloved grandfather to his only granddaughter Melissa and will be fondly remembered by his sister's Dorothy Rieck of Waterloo and Thelma Derbecker of St. Jacobs, his brother's Harold Fisher of Kitchener and Ken Fisher of Elmira, brother -in-law Jack Garner of St. Jacobs and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Harry and Rebecca Fisher, his twin brother Ralph, brother- in-law's Clayton Rieck and Don Derbecker and sister-in-law Eleanor Fisher. Ron was born in Erbsville, July 7, 1918 and served overseas in World War 2. He farmed in Alma for 25 years and was a member of the Alma Untied Church. A Celebration of Ron's life will be held at Alma United Church on Monday, December 20th, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. Private Interment at Elora Cemetery. If desired donations may be made to the Alma United Church. (Cards available at the funeral home 846-5352.)
