My 2nd Daddy

Firstly I wish to send my  sympathies To Brenda and David and young Matt and  Todd.

I have many special moments to remember this gentle soul who has now gone to join Aunt Doris. When I was young, I use to sit behind him on the couch and comb his hair in the most rediculous styles for a very long time. He would never make me stop. When I got a little older (when you were born David) I would run to the end of the long farm driveway and sit on his knee to drive the truck back to the house. Aunt Doris would let me know when he was coming. Older still I became and would get a chance to play Euchre with him at the cottage. One year I had arrived at the cottage and he wasn't there. I called his house and asked them to come. "Oh no, we cannot come" says he, but 3 days later Uncle Ron and Aunt Doris arrived so we could celebrate together. Aunt Doris and Uncle Ron were like 2nd parents to me and hold a special place in my heart.

A man with a genuine heart full of love to share with many, and eyes that sparkled with joyous life has gone to share his spark in a new place.

I love you Uncle Ron
