WWII Veteran, retired Flight Lieutenant with the R.C.A.F. and former employee with the Scarborough Public Utilities for 21 years. Peacefully on Monday April 12, 2004 at the Groves Memorial Community Hospital in Fergus, with his family at his side. Bob Allen of Fergus, formerly of Scarborough and Rockwood in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Dorothy Allen (nee Pearl). Loving father of Shirley Criscione and her husband Mike of Scarborough, Floyd and his wife Pat of Huntsville, Bill and his wife Betty of Fergus, and son-in-law Clark Elbourn of Brampton. Lovingly remembered by his 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. Bob is survived by 1 brother, 1 sister and a number of other family and friends. Predeceased by his daughter Diane Elbourn, one brother and one sister. Family will receive their friends at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home and Chapel, 280 St. David St. S., Fergus on Wednesday April 14, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday April 15, 2004 at 11AM. Interment to follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Scarborough on Friday at 11 AM.
