Obituary for Robert Lewis Cooke

COOKE, Robert Lewis

Born in Toronto on October 16, 1950, Bob passed away at home on Sunday January 30, 2022. Survived by his wife of 47 years, Jane, and his children, Karen (Brian Shaw), Robert (Elizabeth) and Heather (Frank Kieckeben), his brother George (Kate), his brothers-in-law John Jefferson, Richard Jefferson (Lea) and Paul Jefferson (Nancy), and predeceased by his sister Lorna (John Borley) and parents George and Myrtle Cooke. Bob worked for 27 years with the Ontario Ministry of Community and Social Services. After taking early retirement, he did management consulting with The Osborne Group. He enjoyed golf, gardening, travelling, dining out and was active with his church. He and Jane moved from Etobicoke in 2014 to a country property near Grand Valley. The vegetable garden kept him busy through the spring, summer and fall providing veggies for many friends and family members. He will be missed by all who knew him. A private family service will be held at the Giddy Funeral Home in Fergus. Interment in Springcreek Cemetery in Mississauga.
