Peacefully on Tuesday June 19, 2012 in her 76th year, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of Benny di Zitti, proud mother of Mitchell (Rhonda) and Stephen (Cathy), devoted grandmother to Joshua, Michael, Jordan and David and cherished sister to Lesley (Ron). Special Auntie Rho to Andrew (Eryn) and Janna (Ryan) and their families. Adored sister-in-law and aunt to all of Benny's family in Italy. Gone too soon, Rhoda will be remembered for her intelligence and strength of spirit. She was truly larger than life. Special thanks to the ICU staff at Grand River Hospital in Kitchener who treated Rhoda with dignity and compassion and made her last days comfortable and pain-free.Shiva will be held at the home of Mitchell Lipton and Rhonda Safer, 15 Edmund Seager Drive, Thornhill, from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday June 21, 2012, from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. on Friday June 22, 2012 and from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 24, 2012.
