Obituary for Norman Conrad Miller

Passed away peacefully at the Wellington Terrace, Elora on Friday March 12, 2004, in his 93rd year. He was the son of Otto and Catherine Miller of Upper Pilkington Township. Norman grew up on the family farm but later moved to Elmira where he was employed in a factory. In 1965 Norman married Grace Witzel and they lived on College St. in Elmira. For several years Norman worked as a security guard. Later he and Grace retired to Elora where they attended Elora United Church. Norman is predeceased by his parents; his wife Grace; his sister Laura and her husband, Clarence Brubacher. Norman, a kind gentleman, was keenly interested in the three generations of his nephews and nieces. These include Earl and Grace Brubacher, Conrad of Toronto, Celia and husband Jody Kirk of Port Dover; Eric and Ellie Brubacher and Andrew and Adam of Elmira. With special mention of Norman's great, great nephew and niece, twins Noah and Marley Kirk, Port Dover. Funeral Service will be held at Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home and Chapel 37 Church Street, Elora on Tuesday on March 16, 2004 at 1:00 pm Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time. Interment at Elora Cemetery, reception to follow at Elora United Church. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Norman may be made to Wellington Terrace, Elora; Groves Memorial Hospital, or Elora United Church. The family wishes to sincerely thank the entire staff at Wellington Terrace for their expertise and compassion while caring for Norman Miller.
