Hello, we are Jackie's family in the UK – two brothers and a sister. Jackie was adopted by my parents from 10 days old (she was actually their niece). Neither she, nor we knew she was adopted until 1956 (when I was looking for my birth certificate), as you can imagine that was rather a shock!

We are mystified as to why no-one has contacted us to let us know of her passing. Jackie was always rather reluctant to give details of her private life, however she had renewed contact with us around 6 years ago with a PO address and we exchanged many cards, letters, photos and phonecalls until last September when all contact stopped. We left phone messages asking her to call us and sent cards with messages and letters in. We wondered why we had heard nothing back and were very concerned about her having heard nothing. It was only by finding this link online that we heard the sad news of her death.

We don't understand why the person that made the funeral arrangements has not contacted us - someone must have picked up our telephone messages, cards and letters asking Jackie to get in contact and let us know that she was OK.

We would be most grateful if someone could contact us as soon as possible as we feel very upset about the whole situation and have many unasnwered questions.
