Obituary for Myrtle McNiven

McNIVEN, MYRTLE MELISSA (nee Morgan).Passed away Saturday July 14th, 2007, in her 100th year with her family by her side. Myrtle was a well known organist, pianist and choir director for over 75 years. Loved mother of Donald and friend Shirley, of Fergus, Marjorie and (David) Newbery of Barrie, and Sandra and (Ashley) Woods of Salem. Loving grandmother of Stephanie and (Phil) Duprey, of Barrie, Jonathan and (Tammy) Newbery of Midland, Jeremy and (Chris) Woods of Fergus and Elizabeth Newbery of Toronto. Adoring great grandmother of Hannah, Mallory, Nathan, Rachel, Chelsie, Carter and Abby. Pre-deceased by her husband Malcolm M.S. (Mac) McNiven 1970 and infant daughter Marian 1945. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family at the GRAHAM A. GIDDY FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL , 280 ST. DAVID ST. S. FERGUS. From 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Tuesday July 17, 2007. Funeral service will be held at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 325 St. George St. W. Fergus on Wednesday July 18th 2007 at 2:00 P.M. Doug Sargent officiating at the service. Reception to follow. The Eastern Star, Brighton Chapter will conduct a memorial service on Tuesday evening at 6:45 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations to the St Andrews Presbyterian Cjurch music fund or Paisley Memorial Church (Guelph) music fund would be appreciated by the family.
