Obituary for Murk de Groot
Passed away peacefully at the Wellington Terrace in Fergus, on May 11th, 2017 in his 89th year. Loving Dad of Alice Forest (Glenn), Tina Benham (Paul), Wilma Dyson (Daniel), Mark de Groot (Lori) and Audrey Janeway. Caring Pake to 16 and beloved great Pake of 10. Survived by his brother Uiltje (Geertje) and many family and friends in Canada and Fryslan. Murk was predeceased by his loving wife Akke (Dotinga) and his son Jimmy de Groot (1975). Funeral Service for Murk will be conducted at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home & Chapel, 280 St. David St. South in Fergus, on Monday, May 15th, 2017 at 12:00pm, with visitation from 10:00am. Reception to follow service. Interment at the Elora Cemetery, Elora, Ontario. Memorial donations can be directed to the Wellington Terrace Garden Fund. www.grahamgiddyfh.com
