Obituary for Mildred Blanche "Milly" Faulkner (Power)

Mildred Blanche "Milly" Faulkner (Power)
Passed away peacefully with family by her side on January 30, 2017 at Groves Hospital at the age of 83.

Beloved wife of Pursel Kyles Faulkner (passed away in November 2013).

Milly was a loving mother, mother in-law, grandmother (known as Gram or Nanny) and great grandmother to a large immediate family including daughter Elizabeth Wend (husband Klaus Wend – deceased), sons Jim Faulkner (wife Ann Faulkner), Ken Faulkner (deceased), and Robert Faulkner (wife Christine Faulkner), grandchildren Sasha Trahan (husband Derrick Trahan), Amy Franco (husband Carlos Franco), Jamie-Ann Faulkner (husband Paul Fonte), Christopher Wend, Jacob Faulkner, and Michael Faulkner, and great grandchildren Cameron Trahan, Brooklin Trahan, Nathaniel Franco, Sebastian Franco, Benjamin Fonte, Nicholas Fonte.

Milly will be forever missed, and many memories of her will be cherished by many people that also include brothers and sisters and their families (most in Nova Scotia). Brothers James Power, Roland Power, Robert (Bobby) Power, Burton Power (deceased), Billy Power, and sisters Stella Power, Marie Eagles, Virginia Brodie, Susan (Susie) McCarthy, Eva Lewis.

Milly will also be remembered fondly by several of the family friends, many who also knew her as a grandmother figure to them, including almost all the kids in the neighbourhood who also liked to hang-out at Milly’s house.

Mom/Gram/Nanny was easy going in her nature, fun-loving, loved to play with and spoil the kids, and always looking for the nearest place to play bingo.

We all will always reflect on memories of our times with Milly and keep her in our hearts.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the summer of 2017 in Five Islands Nova Scotia.
