Obituary for Maureen Ann Czurlok-Fitzpatrick

Of Kitchener, formerly of Fergus passed courageously surrounded by the love of her family on Monday May 27th. Born April 18th 1961, she just celebrated her 58th birthday. Predeceased by her parents Thomas (Bud) and Isabel Fitzpatrick(Proctor). Missing and loving her always is Chris and Denise of Guelph and Kevin of Kitchener. Best grandma to her monkey Izabella and Allyson, Keon and Mathew Manners. Mo is also deeply missed by her younger brother and sister-in-law Lloyd and Bev of Fergus and their children Mary and Jeff, Brad and Tammy and families. She also leaves behind her friend and son’s father, Chester Czurlok of Elora. Maureen has spent the last 24 years managing Morice Manor at 124 Strange Street, Kitchener. It was there that she built some amazing relationships with people who just needed someone to care enough to get them through a variety of issues. Most will remember her for her nurturing but take no guff attitude. Mo was an avid baseball fan and enjoyed watching the Blue Jays and supporting the boys on whichever team they played. She was an amazing cook and baker, loved animals and took pride in her flower beds. A huge thank you to all the doctors and nurses at Grand River in both the oncology and ICU departments. In lieu of flowers, a donation to either The Grand River Cancer Centre or Canadian Mental Health Association would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to The Graham Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David Street South in Fergus.
