Marjorie (Ostic) Leslie
March 11, 1934 - March 30, 2022
On March 30, 2022 her huge special Family peacefully lost its precious matriarch, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Predeceased by her husband of 60 years Arthur (2011), she leaves behind the Families of Doug (Bridget), John (Rhonda), Russell (Janice), Brenda (Bryce) Richardson, the late David (Cheryl), Barry (Tammy), Elaine (Brad) Landoni, Anne (Larry) Dobbie, and the late Marilyn (Mark) Hall. Along with all the unique grandchildren and great grandchildren characters. Dear sister of Ron (Barbara) Ostic, and the late Ivan (Bette) Ostic, and the late Helen (Don) Cross. Fond sister-in-law of Lorna (Lloyd) Fletcher, and Harold (Holly) Leslie, and the late William Elwood (Eileen) Leslie.
Our hearts ache that she endured so much loss in the last chapter of her life, with no way to express it. But always the strong woman her whole life, few worked harder. Those hands! Fond brighter days are remembered, like 3 great meals a day for 14 fueling the farm, or Christmas for 40+ (in mainly an apron) taken in stride with a smile, delicious cooking never showed as a chore. Special desserts, “keeper” recipes to this day. She loved to be creative. Whether sewing, crafting, needlepoint, or reciting. A sharp dresser, with an eye for colourful fabrics, scarves, unique brooches, vintage jewelry. Always the historian with journaling and scrapbooking. Never too busy for Mimosa Church work. Marj loved simple pleasures, Family gatherings, thrift shopping, “bad place” slots, having company for cards. Famous for accommodative kindness to others, staying positive, and choosing the high road. Being there for everyone, and putting them first. We all loved her so much. She’ll be missed beyond expression.
