Schedewitz, Marion Ardith
Passed away peacefully on April 29, 2023 at Columbia Forest Long Term Care Waterloo, Ontario at the age of 94 years. Dear mother of Ross and Linda of Kitchener, Mark and Brenda of Waterloo, daughter in law Marta Minster of Kitchener and Daughter in law Kathy Wood of Simcoe. Lovingly remembered by her 10 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren, Sister-in-law to Gwen Schedewitz of Penticton British Columbia, fondly remembered by brother Doug Clapp and nieces and nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her parents Ross Clapp and her mother Marjorie McCall, her husband Hilbert “Bert” Schedewitz, her sons Ross Wood and Stewart Schedewitz, brother-in-law Earl Schedewitz and by sister Mary Osborne and by sister-in-law Helen Clapp. Bert and Marion operated the Simcoe Drive In Theatre and the Skylark Drive In Theatre in Courtland, Ontario for many years and they owner and operated several convenience stores in the area. Marion was a faithful member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Simcoe Ontario. The family would like to thank all the staff at Columbia Forest Long Term Care for the excellent care they gave Mom. Thanks to Dr. Johansen for his care and continued support of Mom. Thank you to Patrick Schlitt of the Graham Giddy Funeral Home for his guidance and support. A private family interment service took place on Wednesday May 3, 2023 at Union Cemetery Elmira, Ontario with Pastor Dan Abram officiating. Donations in lieu of flowers to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church Simcoe Ontario would be appreciated.
