DOUGHERTY, Margaret Ann (Peggy) passed away peacefully in her sleep following a battle with cancer with
her family by her side on Saturday, September 6, 2014, at the Groves Memorial Community Hospital in Fergus. Peggy Dougherty (nee Lajeunesse) of Elora in her 70th year, beloved wife and best friend of David. Loving mother to Shannon (Mark) Heine of Elora; Kilby Dougherty (James Ward) of Toronto; and Dana (Kerry) Reinke of Oakville. Dearly loved grandmother of Taylor, Kaylyn, Charlotte, Carson and Peyton. Loved sister of Gary (Rita) Lajeunesse of Halifax and Karen (Huntly) Chapman of Dallas, Texas. Peggy is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews and other family members. The family will receive their friends at the GRAHAM A. GIDDY FUNERAL HOME, 37 Church St., Elora on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Celebration will be held at the St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 267 Geddes Street, Elora on Wednesday, September 10th at 11:30 a.m. followed interment at the St. Mary's/ St. Joseph's Cemetery in Elora.
Parish prayers will be said at the funeral home on Tuesday evening at 8:30 p.m. Remembrances to the
Groves Memorial Hospital or the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
