My Mom

Sunday, I lost another very instrumental part of my life...my Mom! She was MY rock! By definition that would mean; a firm foundation or support. That is exactly who she was, my foundation, my support, my strength. Mom taught us all some important lessons, she was an amazing listener and she shared valuable wisdom that we will carry and pass on to our children. I ask myself many questions right now but one is WHY? Why do we have to go through this again? Why can't she stay? We have lost so many in the past few years. It breaks my heart. I wanted the opportunity to share more time, create more memories, experiences and laughs together but in the end I realized I can't make that decision, this is part of HER journey. So, I guess this is where I have to put on my big girl panties and prove to her, that I can move on and hold my head high. I will remember all those meaningful chats, life lessons and that I was indeed always her favourite. She never said life was easy or fair, she merely said, "it is what it is!" Until we meet again, I will love you forever Mom! Carolyn
