Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Lyle Matthews can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Lyle Hubert Matthews

Lyle Hubert Matthews
Passed away peacefully on February 11 2017 at Wellington Terrace in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Doris Matthews (Tuck). Lyle will be missed by sister Lois Dobbie, sisters-in-law Jeannette Witt, Marilyn MacQuarrie (Jim), Joan Snyder (Craig) and brothers-in-law Jim Tuck and Lloyd Tuck (Judy). He will be forever missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by brother-in-law Robert Dobbie and the Tuck family in-laws.
Lyle had a special love of horses, owning and racing them. He also had a special love for their dog “Teddy.”
Family and friends may visit at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, Fergus on Tuesday, February 14 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 7:00 to 9:00pm. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
