Obituary for Linda Susan Semanyk (Trueman)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Susan Semanyk in her 73rd year.
She passed away peacefully on July 3rd, 2022, with her family by her side, at the Guelph General Hospital.
She will be forever missed by her husband of 54 years Tom Semanyk, her only son, Mike Semanyk (Allison), and her precious granddaughter, Jane who was the light of her life.
Predeceased by her mother Jean Trueman. Linda will be deeply missed by her father Jack (Shirley) Trueman, and her siblings Sandi Manganiello, Diana (Larry) O'Neil and Larry (Brenda) Trueman. She will be dearly missed by all her nieces, nephews and cousins.
Linda was a dedicated member of the Fergus Canadian Legion, The Ladies Auxiliary and she was a Deputy C3 Zone Commander. She enjoyed cooking, baking and sewing. She enjoyed volunteering to help her community and attending Bingo with her friends in Fergus and Mount Forest.
She was her family's biggest cheerleader when she would watch them curl every Sunday. She had a special relationship with her daughter-in law, Allison, and knew she would always be there for her.
Linda was extremely proud of all of her family and friends. From Espanola, Rockwood, Guelph, Mount Forest, Hamiliton, Waterloo, Pennsylvania, or Ottawa, Linda only ever wished the very best for everyone in health and happiness.
Cremation has taken place and Linda's celebration of Life will commence on Sunday, July 17th, 2022 from 2-4pm at the Fergus Canadian Legion.
