Obituary for Leo William Wright

On Saturday, September 15, 2012 we lost a husband, father, grandfather and best friend. Leo leaves his special love of 57 years, Hilda (Bye), his 3 children, Keith (Mary) of Savannah, GA, Karen (Werner) of Kitchener and AnnMarie (Mensur) of Waterloo. Cherished “Grampa” to 4 beautiful grandchildren, Jason & Alyssa Wright of Calgary, AB and Amber & Brittany Werner of Kitchener. Survived by his sister Margaret (Jack) Boland of Lucan and Joseph (Evelyn) Wright of Owen Sound. Sisters-in-law Mary (Ephraim) Martin and Jean Goodwin. Son of the late Joseph and Pauline (Magnus). He was predeceased by his siblings John, Frances, Stewart, Albert and Helen. Leo’s life was as rich as it could be having just celebrated his 80th birthday. He had a special love and dedication to not only his family, but his faith and many years as a dedicated farmer nurturing all that grew and walked on the land. Although he put up a courageous battle, the Lord had other plans for Leo. You will never be forgotten. Friends will be received at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home & Chapel, 37 Church St. East in Elora, on Thursday, September 20th from 2-4 & 7-9pm with Parish Prayers at 8:30pm and Friday, September 21st from 9:30 to 11:30am.
