After a courageous battle with cancer at the Groves Memorial Community Hospital in Fergus on March 5th 2005 in his 58th year. Larrie will be missed deeply by his wife Mary Rock (Wilson) and his children Michaela Long and her husband Ryan, Matthew and his girlfriend Cheryl and Jacqueline, all of Fergus. Larrie will be lovingly remembered by his mother Viola Rock (Schroeder) of Kitchener, his sisters Linda Pitz and her husband Don of Waterloo, Brenda Martin and her husband Ted of Floradale, Joyce Free and her husband Gord of Kitchener and brother Bruce Rock of Kitchener. Larrie will be fondly remembered by his mother-in-law Mary Wilson (Weadick) of Elora and his brothers and sisters-in-laws Bill and Donna Wilson, Jerry and Terry Wilson, Charlie and Darlene Wilson, Neil and Dianne Wilson, Liz Wilson, Frank and Carla Wilson and Dave and Cathy Good. Larrie will be missed by numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and close family friends. Predeceased by his father Alvin Rock and his father-in-law Charles Wilson. Friends will be received at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home and Chapel, 37 Church Street East in Elora on Monday March 7th 2005 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM. Funeral Liturgy of The Word to be held at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 267 Geddes Street in Elora on Tuesday March 8th 2005 at 11:00 AM. Cremation to follow. He coached his kids through hockey and baseball and was their greatest supporter and most dedicated fan. He could not have been more proud of all three children and welcomed Ryan to the family as another son.
