The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of June McGonegal can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

June Mary Joan McGonegal
June passed away peacefully and on her own terms on Tuesday, July 18 2017 at Groves Memorial Hospital, Fergus, Ontario. Always loved wife of the late Darwin(2010). Devoted mother of Jan(Bob) Muir, Kate(Lyman) Smith, Colleen(2014), Bonnie Martin, Rod and Carm. Proud Grandma of Richard(Paula) Muir, Carolyn Muir(2000), Paul(Laura) Muir, Annica Smith, Ryan Smith, Evan Martin and Kyle Martin (Anet). Also survived by 7 great grandchildren and her brother Cecil(Jackie) Bradley and sisters Madeleine and Genevieve. Fondly remembered by her sisters-in-law Barb and Edna McGonegal.

As per June’s wishes, a private family service will be held at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, Elora.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your charity of choice. The family would like to thank Dr. Roach, Dr. T. Williams, Dr. Love and the incredible nurses at Groves Memorial Hospital, Fergus for their kindness and patience during her illness these past three weeks.
