Jozsef Borsos commonly known to most as (Joseph or Joe) passed away on October 5, 2019 in the town of Fergus, Ontario at the age of 79 years. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 47 years, Astrid Borsos and his two loving daughters, Claudia (Kirk) and Genevieve (Chris). His four grandchildren Ethan, Nolan, Payton and Emily will greatly miss their Opa! He was the loving younger brother to the late Larry Borsos (Pauline deceased); the late Gabor Borsos (Audrey deceased) and older brother to Erwin Borsos.
Joe was born on November 17, 1939 in Pilisborosjenő, Hungary to parents Jozsef and Rosa Borsos. The family moved and settled in Heidenheim, Germany in 1944. At the young age of 17, Joe immigrated to Canada to be close to his older brothers Larry and Gabor. In his single days Joe’s passions were ballroom dancing, fishing and traveling across Canada, USA and Mexico in his Volkswagen Westfalia. After meeting Astrid at a German Club dance they married shortly thereafter and had two beautiful daughters. Joe immersed himself wholeheartedly into family life with summer camping trips to Killbear Provincial Park and Saturday dance and swimming lessons for his two daughters. Joe worked as a Offset Press Operator and retired at the age of 66.
Opa’s life brightened with the arrival of his four grandchildren. He enjoyed cooking Hungarian and German meals, tending to his vegetable garden and fruit tree’s, playing football and telling stories about his life as a young boy in Germany.
Joe, Dad and Opa, your kind heart, gentle eyes and warm smile will be lovingly remembered!
