Passed away peacefully at Groves Memorial Hospital at the age of 93, surrounded by his loved ones.

"Honorary Lord" John of Scotland, is now reunited with his loving wife of 60 years, Doreen. He will be deeply missed by his children Deborah, Richard and daughter-in-law Ruth as well as his grandchildren Kate, Alec, Nathanial and Duncan. Remembered fondly by his sister Hilda and family across the pond.

As a young man, John was an electrical technician in the Royal Air Force in England and his passion for aircraft continued in Canada through work with Avro and Orenda engines. He was an ardent supporter and proud, long serving member of the Royal Canadian Legion where he often celebrated with lifelong friends. After retiring, John was an avid golfer for thirty plus years at the Fairview Golf Course

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home in Fergus.

The family has requested that donations be directed toward the Groves Memorial Hospital Foundation in Fergus.
