Following a valiant struggle with cancer on Tuesday April 27, 2004 at the Groves Memorial Community Hospital, Fergus. John Shain of Elora, formerly of Rexdale in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of the late Florence Anna Shain (Nee Hanlon). Loving mother of John of Mississauga, Michael and his wife Dale of Little Current, and Mary Kay Gibbons and her husband Chris of Fergus. Dearest grandfather of James, John-Paul, Lara, Arthur, Kathleen, Sarah, Mary-Ellen, Theresa, Margaret, James and Sean. John is predeceased by his sister Kathleen Shain. The family will receive their friends at the GRAHAM A. GIDDY FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 280 St. David St. S., Fergus on Thursday April 29th, 2004 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph's R.C. Church, 460 St. George St. E., Fergus on Friday April 30th, 2004 at 11AM. Honoured to be the organist and soloist for Mr. Shain is Tammy Cancelli. The family would like to visit with their friends in the Fellowship Hall of the church following the mass before they meet for interment in the family plot at St. Patrick Cemetery in Schomberg.
