John passed away peacefully after a valiant 6 month battle at the age of 72 years. Best friend and loving husband to Joan. Loving father to Kim, Stephen (Claire), Pamela (Cameron) Hill, Daniel (Jennifer), Kelly Robertson (Carey Ogilvie), and Karyn (Martin) White. Loving “Pops” to James, Elizabeth, Alexander, Adam, Payton, Averie, Tristan, Aidan, Andrew, Christopher, and Bradley. Survived by sister Mitzi (Jim) Naylor, brother-in-law Jim (Lynda) Smith. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews and their families. Fond friend of Bill & Yvonne Byers, Joe & Pat Milando, and Phil & Flo Ferguson. John was a longtime past member of the Toronto Scottish Pipes and Drums Band, a life long employee of 39 years to Bell Canada. John also enjoyed and cherished his time at the cottage on Ril Lake, as well as spending time cheering for his kids and grandkids at their many sporting events. John’s family will receive friends at the GRAHAM A. GIDDY FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL, 280 ST. DAVID ST. S. FERGUS. Visitation will be 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Thursday, November 2, 2006. Service will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 325 St. George St. W, Fergus on Friday, November 3, 2006 at 11 am.
